NECASA School Card Campaign

As a community, we care about you and want you to live long and happy lives. The substance abuse warning card you are receiving will go to all 5th - 12th grade students in the twenty-one towns of Northeastern Connecticut.

The warning signs of substance abuse and suicide are on one side, the individuals and agencies to talk to if you see these trouble signs in a friend are on the other side. Businesses throughout the twenty one town region are being asked to give discounts to students who present the card.

The discounts will last until September 1, of the following year (example: if you received your card in 2009 it will expire on 9/1/2010), don't destroy or throw away this card, the information and the discount make it valuable.

Northeast Communities Against Substance Abuse, (NECASA), is a non-profit public/private partnership of community leaders. NECASA's mission is to lower the amount of substance abuse in Northeast Connecticut.

Warning Signs
Anyone of the warning signs can be serious. You should talk to your friend, be more aware and ask one of the contacts on your card for advice and help.
